FLEXdoûr RV/Campervan Shower Door Fitting Guide

The FLEXdoûr Shower Door is a versatile and durable solution for RV and campervan showers, designed for compact folding and easy installation. Follow this guide to ensure a perfect fit and smooth installation.

Step 1: Ordering the Right Door

Measure Your Shower Space:

Measure the width from wall to wall and the height from the shower tray to the desired door height (up to 185 cm).

The door height can be reduced, but this requires cutting multiple components.

Check Space Compatibility:

Ensure there’s enough room for the folding mechanism to operate freely.

Measurements are based on the external frame dimensions.

Choose Your Colour:

FLEXdoûr is available in white with a millerighe texture for a clean and modern look.

Place Your Order:

Once measurements are confirmed, select the closest size available online. Note that adjustments can be made during installation.

Step 2: Adjusting the Door (If Required)

Tools Needed:

  • Measuring tape
  • Saw (for trimming PVC rails)
  • Screwdriver
  • Safety gear (goggles, gloves)

Adjustment Steps:

Trim the Rails:

Cut the PVC sliding rails on each side to fit your shower tray width.

Measure carefully, as over-cutting cannot be undone.

Modify Door Panels (Optional):

If necessary, remove one or two 140 mm PVC panels to reduce the door width.

Note: Cutting or removing parts voids the warranty.

Step 3: Installation

The FLEXdoûr comes pre-assembled for easy installation.

Attach the Frame to the Wall:

Decide on the door opening direction (left or right). The door is reversible.

Use the provided stainless steel screws and plugs to securely fasten the frame to the wall.

Insert the Door:

Place the door into the frame and check for smooth operation.

Adjust the frame if there are misalignments to ensure proper folding and closing.

Final Adjustments:

If the walls are uneven, adjust the frame and door to align properly.

Step 4: Maintenance and Care

Cleaning: Use non-abrasive cleaners to maintain the PVC and stainless steel components.

Prevent Moisture Buildup: Ensure proper ventilation to enhance durability.

Lubricate Rails: Apply a mild lubricant occasionally for smooth sliding.

Tips for a Successful Installation

Moderate DIY skills are required, especially if adjustments or cutting are needed.

Avoid cutting the top or bottom of the door unless necessary to prevent structural compromise.

Ensure the door folds compactly without obstructions for optimal use in tight spaces.
